Change Efforts

Since its inception the Family and Children's Resource Program has been involved in a number of change efforts focused on improving outcomes for children and families involved with the child welfare system. Our efforts have taken shape in a number of ways, including:

  • Facilitating community dialogues among traditional child welfare agencies, other agencies, and community members

  • Holding focus groups involving foster parents, former foster children, and foster care licensing social workers to gather information to guide system reform efforts

  • Developing and delivering training in support of system reform
