Effects of Separation and Loss on Attachment

Effects of Separation and Loss on Attachment is a two-day, competency-based, foundation curriculum that includes information about:

  • The attachment process,
  • Separation from the viewpoint of the child,
  • Grief reactions based upon childhood developmental ages and stages, and
  • Strategies to help a child re-attach.

Effects of Separation and Loss on Attachment is currently offered free of charge to social workers from North Carolina departments of social services.
