North Carolina Division of Social Services
The Division's Family Support and Child Welfare Services Section is committed to the development, implementation, and evaluation of outcome-based services to children and families.

North Carolina Association of County Directors of Social Services
Established in 1976, the association is comprised of the directors of the 100 county departments of social services in North Carolina. Its mission is to inform, educate, and empower members in order to strengthen agencies, programs, and the delivery of social services to families and individuals.

North Carolina Foster and Adoptive Parent Association
The North Carolina Foster Parent Association's mission is to promote quality foster and adoptive services through collaborative advocacy, education, resources, and networking.

Family Support America
Family Support America works to bring about a completely new societal response to children, youth, and their families--one that strengthens and empowers families and communities so that they can foster the optimal development of children, youth, and adult family members, one that solves problems by preventing them.

Center for Aging Research and Educational Services (CARES)
Part of the Jordan Institute for Families at the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work, the Center for Aging Research and Educational Services is dedicated to serving social work practitioners and decision makers who work with older and disabled adults and their families.

Child Welfare League of America
CWLA is an association of more than 1,000 public and not-for-profit agencies devoted to improving life for more than 2.5 million at-risk children and youths and their families.

Duke Endowment
The Duke Endowment, established in 1924 by industrialist and philanthropist James B. Duke, is a private foundation whose mission is to serve the people of North Carolina and South Carolina by supporting selected programs of higher education, health care, children's welfare, and spiritual life.

Independent Living Resources, Inc.
ILR, Inc. provides a wide range of materials and services to educators and human services professionals. In North Carolina, they provide training and programs in the areas of adolescents in foster care and social worker safety.

SAY SO (Strong Able Youth Speaking Out)
SAYSO, a group of teens working to improve the substitute care system, contributes to FP as part of its efforts to educate the community, speak out about needed changes, and provide support to youth who are or have been in substitute care.
